Many of my models have never been photographed before, and therefore are sometimes shy and self-conscious. - However Carsten already had some  experiences in modeling: just a few weeks before I got to know him, he was signed with a model agency.
 
 

Carsten is 22 and lives in Kassel. Being 6'4'', he is definitely one of the taller models, and it is cute to see him in his small Renault R4.
 
 

He is currently (1999) doing his "Zivildienst" (civil service, a substitute for military service) at the "Johanniter Unfalldienst", a social service. He is not too lucky, as he works at night, gets paid badly and has big plans that he currently can not realize. He was educated as ship-constructor, but will not able to work in this field anymore due to an allergy problem.
 
 

We net end of March. Spring had just arrived and it was the year's first weekend with temperatures where you were not freezing.
 
 

The location was park Wilhelmshöhe, my favorite place: Plenty of architectural elements (fountains, columns, walls, rotunds, pavillons), embeded in a huge, romantic English park, made this park to an ideal photographic background.
 
 

We were both highly motivated, but the light went worse and the sun would soon disappear behind the little mountains - after 5pm in March, you can hardly take photos outdoors. So we bought some lighting equipment, drove to Carsten's place and created a provisoric studio - my first indoor photos ever.
