Remember Ty?  Check out his galleries 1, 2, and 3.  One day, Ty invited me to come over for dinner at his apartment.  "I've got a new roommate, his name is Darren, you might want to see him".
 

Darren was born in California, but moved to Hawaii (with his parents) at the tender age of five, to spend his childhood years in this paradise.  Darren left Hawaii for New York to attend Vasser College and earn his Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy.  Strangely enough, he is now living in Los Angles and working as a financial trader. 
 

Darren is a vegetarian, not because of health reasons, but rather, by persuasion. Though he is not an active member in any animal rights or protection organization, he says that he would rather avoid meat all together, rather than support the current cruel system of keeping and slaughtering animals. Because of this heart felt conviction, he finds little, if any, joy in eating meat or meat products. One has to respect  is convictions - if only everyone was like him. 

One only need look at his highly developed arms and thick muscular  hest to know that animal protein is not necessary to develop and  aintain a near perfect body!
 

Please excuse the similarities in these photos, as we had only about an hour for the shoot (more heavy rain, which, lately -Feb 2001-, is becoming almost an expected annoyance), and we wanted to get a certain "type" of picture: About a week before the shoot, my new Abercombie and Fitch Quarterly arrived.  Because I love the lifestyle they present and show, we tried a "pseudo Abercombie shoot" aiming for similar pictures.  Because of this, this shoot turned out to be quite playful, more or less.
