Dylan, born in 1982, hails from San Diego, the south-western most city of the USA.  San Diego is borderd to the west by the Pacific Ocean and to the south by the Mexican border.  Dylan is now studying in beautiful St. Barbara, 250 miles to the north.  Dylan belongs to a minority of people interested in foreign languages and cultures.

In late spring of  '02, his love of traveling, as well as, his schooling brought him to Europe. After visiting Paris, but before travelling to Florence for Summer School to learn Italian, he made a two day stop over in Kassel, for a shoot with me.

Credits to Nurch, a talented and successful model scout located in Oklahoma, USA, to introduce me to Dylan and to persuade him that a shoot with me would yield to results helpful for Dylan's career.

About a year and a half ago, while walking along the streets of St. Barbara, Dylan was scouted for a shoot with Abercrombie & Fitch, a well known mens' designer clothing company in the US.  "To my surprise", as he said, "I would never have thought to be a candidate for modeling".  Such modesty is not only a nice thing to hear from, but also, a very nice thing to experience while working  with a professional model.

The Abercrombie-Shoot (for their spring, 2001 catalogue) took place, shortly thereafter, and was photographed by the famous photographer Bruce Weber, in Santa Barbara.

Not many times does it happen that one has an Abercrombie model at home! So I took extra care and gave my extra best, travelling around with Dylan to medevial Fritzlar and the Eder-dam close by.

This happened, by the way, on the day when Germany played South-Korea during the World Cup of Soccer, 2002.  The streets of the town were totally deserted, so we literally shot in a ghost town.  Only two times was this strange silence interupted, once by screams of jubilation when the first goal was made, and again, when the game was over. Soon afterwards, masses of people streamed into the village's market place celebrating and partying. 

Soon, we felt the need to flee out of the town, into the straw-fields, were, in the hot humid air, the straw seemed to have a beautiful golden glow.

Dylan has signed with several agencies in the US and Europe and is about to start his way to getting into the market.  His charming smile, modest attitude, patience, cooperation and his intelligent friendly character make him a true professional.
