Rouven (born 1976) is not my first model I got to know in the Kasseler techno club Stammheim. Rouven is roofer (!) which is the most interesting play of words for someone's profession and name I've every heard of. He calles Paderborn his home, about 60 miles north west of Kassel. With his blond hair he is the prototype of a "Germanic".
 
 
 

 

 
 

Rouven has one brilliant blue and one brilliant green eye. He is blind on one eye, which I am hopefully allowed to say without invading his privacy. So, next to Tibor and Tim, Rouven is the third model who has a severe disability, respectively suffered a severe disease. Altogether I have a great appreciation for people, also models, who have struggled in life, and who didn't have everything pefectly handed to them on a plate - and therein lies their true beauty.
 
 

Despite his looks, Rouven is a silent, almost shy person, with a tendency to melancholy. This shows on many pictures, sometimes more than I wanted. There are some where he looks almost sad.
