"Fussball"
(the German word for soccer, not for "football"!) is still the number one
sport in Germany, if not the whole of Europe. It's embarrassing just
how badly the national team usually performs. In fact, we called
it the eigth wonder of the world that "we" even made it to the finals in
this year's (2002) world cup!
I bet that,
"for some reason", only 1% (or less) of this site's visitors are interested
in soccer. Frankly, I'm not either: I have a certain mental picture
of soccer, and the mentality of its active and passive fans, but it seems
to be a prejudice. Tim is smart, well-educated with excellent manners and
has a warm, charming charisma, without any trace of "macho".
Since the physical
training and exercise of soccer players leads to such hard bodies, perhaps,
one is supposed to be interested in soccer simply for the pleasant visual
effects.
