October
1999 - I am staying 4 weeks in Los Angeles now.
My main profession
is software developing (or just "programming", but this sounds so cheap)
at U.C.L.A. (University of California in Los Angeles). I am currently (Jan
2000) living at Vista Street in Hollywood, between Sunset Blvd and Hollywood
Blvd, near Fairfax. To get to work, I have to drive Sunset all the way
from Fairfax until Westwood, about 6 miles. 6 miles sounds a long distance,
but on a map of Los Angeles its a line that is close to a point - LA is
just soooo big.
One
morning I was again annoyed by the congestion due to slow-drivers in the
left lane .Then I saw this handsome guy at the bus-station with the sunglasses.
Even with his sunglasses I knew that I needed to work with him. So I made
a left at the next crossing, drove back, tried to find a parking space
and walked to the bus-station. This all took me more than 10min,
but - thanks to the Los Angeles public transportation system - he was still
sitting there. To make a long story short: his name is Ty, he wasraised
in Hawaii, we meet some days later, here are the results of our first shoot.
